Hi,

perhaps someone has an idea.

My Start 20 has problems receiving the GPS signal. Most times it finds no satellites. Every now and then it works properly. Then it finds 8 to 11 satellites. If I knock on the unit it looses the satellites and some times it finds them (after a few seconds). I assume there is some loose contact or bad soldering. With hot air or ice spray I can not manage to find the area of interest. I assume this location should be near the antenna.

I have not tried to remove anything except the plasic cover yet.

Regards

Dieter

Sounds like an antenna connection issue from here. I have not had the opportunity to take a can opener to a Start 20 as yet, so can't say whether it's likely an issue there. If you can spot a YouTube video of battery replacement on the Start 20, you'll see how the case comes apart, and you may be able to identify the problem that way. However, having identified it, you'll likely need some good soldering skills for a remedy.
