Live Services $40/year???

My coworker just bought a XL340S live from best buy. The sales person told him the live traffic was $40/year. Imagine my surprise when I can't locate that option on Tomtom website. Could it be the best buy sales person was incorrect?? (That's sarcasm)

Seriously, does anyone know if there is or will be a price cut on the live services?

I stand to be corrected but I thought Live services are $10US a month or $99/yr.

You're half right DHN. There's no discount for buying by the year. In fact it's so slightly more than a monthly pay. But TomTom has also taken to charging "tax", which I assume is sales tax, plus subscribers are getting hit with a foreign exchange fee in many (perhaps most) cases now. My last monthly charge worked out to closer to $13.
