Kia Ceed3 2016, inbuilt TomTom

Hi folks, is there any way I can find out if the card is the latest one. ?
How often are cards updated?
Do I have to get an update from dealer or can one be bought on internet anywhere ?
Dealer says no user manual available for in built TomTom SatNav !!!! any comments ?

Yes, Kia has just recently begun to move away from LG on all of their models towards TomTom solutions (cee'd and Optima). We have not yet seen these here in North America.

If you could take a couple of quick photos of the screens that appear (one during navigation, and perhaps one of the 'menu' screens for the navigation part of the system), we can probably identify whether or not the user interface for your version is something custom for Kia or one of the standards that TomTom is using on their stand-alone units. If it's the latter, we should be able to help you with a manual that covers most if not all of the features in the event that support isn't able to supply you with one. I've looked at it on a Kia web page, and what they call the AVN 2.0 navigation system doesn't look the same on that shot as a normal TomTom PND, but who knows whether that brochure info is accurate.

The good news is that your unit includes 7 years of TomTom's 'Live' services including Live traffic reporting, speed cam updates, weather, and online search engine. Sweet!

The dealer MUST provide you with information about how the map is to be updated either at the dealer or through Kia's map update web site. If not, he's clearly not doing the job.
