Kia Ceed TomTom

Don't know which version of TomTom they have in your Ceed, so hard to say exactly regarding updates. Had not ever seen a "built-in" version of the 5100. When you say built-in, can the device itself be removed -- the 5100 is normally a stand-alone unit? If so, remove the device, bring it in to your PC, and it can be connected with a normal USB microB style cable. Before doing so, be sure to download the app from TomTom (MyDrive Connect) and have it running on your PC. That's the app that updates your 5100 device.. See https://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/product_select/locale/en_GB

However, maps are updated quarterly for all supported units (and anything from 2016 will be supported).
In the 'old days', the unit included a uSD card that could be removed and updated on a PC.
