just bought an XL

just bought XL but not sure which, charger says XL One. brought it home to sync to computer but can't get power cord out so i can use the USB connecter. any suggestion on how to get it out without damage to unit ?

You mean the part of the car charger that fits into the unit? Should be the same size as a standard mini-usb plug from the power cord.

Try gripping it right near the base and tye wiggling it slightly back and forth.

yes, mine appears to be locked, i've tried to push in to unlock and pulled hard enough that i thought would break it. tried to pry up with small screw driver but won't move.

I agree that it is unusually difficult to remove. Try the following:
1. Remove the window mount by pushing from the bottom of the mounting ring upward and then pulling the top of the ring away from the unit. This gives you more room to work and makes it easier.
2. Stick your right thumb fingernail between the unit and the rubber part of the plug on the bottom/back of the unit. Try to get as much of the edge of your right forefinger against the rubber part of the plug on the bottom/front of the unit. Pinch and pull. Pull straight away from the long edge on the bottom of the unit so the plug is going neither toward the front screen nor the back speaker.

Good luck...it really is a bit of a pain.
