I've been a loyal TOMTOM 920 owner and defender for the past several years. I've been waiting for awhile for TT to release some new models but I would get disappointed when they would give all of the high end units (ie TT 1000) to Europe and leave the lower end units for the US. I decided to give the competition a spin and ordered the Garmin Nuvi 3790T. This unit is amazing with the 3d-terrain, excellent speech recognition and countless other features available on the unit. I am now wondering why it took me so long to give Garmin a try. I'll still have a place in my heart for TOMTOM but Garmin is going to beat the pants off of them if they don't step up to the plate soon.
