I connected my Rider 500 to the WiFi at my hotel and on the device it says it is connected but actually it isn't. I cannot connect to MyDrive and cannot download map updates.
I think the root of the problem is that when I connect my phone to the WiFi I get a screen to input my room number and email address before the connection is made. This does not happen on the Rider. It just instantly says it is connected. A further problem is the Rider thinks its connected and there does not seem to be any option to disconnect so as to try some other connection method.

Without adding a browser to all TomTom PNDs, the "gated" internet at hotels, airports, cruise ships, or even a McDonalds, for that matter, are a problem. That's when it becomes necessary to use your phone for a WiFi hotspot.

Great Canderson. Guess that's the way round it. Thanks
