Is there away?

I was told there's away to unlock some features hidden in the tt 510 that are in the tt 910 via hack, Is this true? can someone share how to do this.

I would be surprised, as i have a 910 and I work on a friend's 510 all the time. i ahve not noticed features on my 910 that are missing on the 510. The differences are a function of the 510 (which came with only a 1 gb SD card), while the 910 has a 20gb disc.

The 910 also came with a European map. It also came with the NA map, which is larger than the US & Canada map on the 510. It has more POI's as well. The 910 also had computer voices for several languages, and computer voices tht are rather large.

I cannot think of a feature that you don't have that could be locked up and subject to a hack - except possibly for the traffic receiver, which TT does not list as being functional on the 510. The latest apps - 7.161 (and 7.162 works) are the same for both units, so the receiver might be a hardware issue.

There is away

After many google searches I found the hack info here http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=170022 I did have to join the site to read most of the users post. But with this hack I now have the mp3 player(jukebox) photo viewer (slide show)and text to speech( my tomtom 510 now says street names)Cool. Note: this hack will roll the tomtom 510 or 710 software back to version 6.150 so make a tomtom home backup and the voice files need alot of free space on the SD card. A year ago I transfered my tomtom maps 1GB sd card over to a 2GB so this hack had the room to load. One more thing... when you dock the unit with tomtom home after the hack It will try to update the units software to a higher version and then this hack will no longer work so uncheck the box to bypass that update, but you can do the GPSfix.
