Is there anyway to sync with google or mapquest?

We are in NC now and heading back to WV tomorrow. Our tomtom insists on sending us all the way up to DC which is almost a 10 hour trip. Google maps has 3 routes all of which are under 9 hours and will help us avoid D.C. traffic. Is there anyway other than mapping out short distances to get it to send us the other way? I've tried shortest and quickest and neither put us on the google rt. I updated my maps prior to planing my trip

You don't say what model you have but if it is one which has itinerary planning, then see here:
