Is there a new version of HOME in the works?

So I have the latest version of HOME, 2.7.2.1825. I don't know about anyone else, but it still takes such a long time to start up. I removed all the GPS quickfix files as someone said to do on here, but it didn't help. Do you think there is a newer version on the way to fix the startup time?

New versions are released fairly frequently. I wouldn't expect another for a few weeks unless TomTom believes this one has issues. Like you, I have noticed it takes awhile for the latest Home to load. Otherwise I haven't discovered any new problems with it.

TomTom must have messed something up in the last few releases. HOME used to start up in like 10 seconds or less. Now it takes more than a minute to start up. Something is wrong here and I don't see why they can't fix it.

You could reset tomtom home settings to the default settings by deleting those files mentioned at the link below. Make sure however to backup any downloads that you want to keep because it will delete all but most recent.

The latest version of Home takes only 4 seconds to load when opening for the first time after rebooting the PC for me, and 1 to 2 seconds after loading it a second time after completely closing the program (even task bar icon)

Likewise for me. Home takes 1-2 seconds to open. I never reboot my PC, except once a week in the middle of the night on a schedule, and Home auto-starts upon reboot.

It does take 5-10 seconds to list my available updates if I have a Tomtom plugged in. I assume that's because it's waiting for the Tomtom server to respond.

My computer is way overpowered for the OS though, so it could be masking slowness of Home.

I guess the problem was Windows XP. Under Win XP, the latest version of home took forever to start up. I upgraded to Windows 7 and Home starts up in seconds. I suppose the latest version of home isn't really made for Win XP users.
