If you have a TomTom with bluetooth and can pair it with your phone, then yes, it is capable of handsfree talking. (Why else would one pair the phone with their tomtom?) I am confused by your question -- if you paired them then what happened when you tried to use it hands-free? When they are paired, does your phone display a little car symbol (or headphone symbol) to indicate that it is paired and functioning with what it thinks is a bluetooth car kit?

Ooops. Sorry for posting incorrect information. I wonder why they would include enough bluetooth for this limited pairing and not include the handsfree....
