Is a TT One LE right for me

I?m new to GPS ownership having just received a TT One LE as a Christmas present. I was hoping to get a bit of help before diving into the packaging. The big question is whether this is the right GPS for my needs. I plan to do recreational exploration of county and fire roads and trails in national forests and similar settings mounting the unit to motorcycle handlebars. Is it possible to get a detailed enough map on this unit for this type of use or should I be looking elsewhere? I would appreciate any helpful feedback.

Highly unlikely that it will suit your specific needs...

TomTom's market is rooted in GPS aided navigation over dedicated roads, streets and highways. Though it will identify longitude and latitude, and it some cases altitude, it surely isn't going to be your first choice for navigating fire roads and trails. If your path of travel isn't paved, or otherwise well frequented by autos, it probably isn't referenced on the maps.

Here is a good off-road GPS resource:

Thanks for the feedback Wiley. I figured the TomTom wasn't the best choice but I wanted to hear it from others like yourself with more than a couple of hours of research on the topic. The link you provided will be a big help, thanks again.
I guess I could always sell it to someone with a need at the pre-Christmas sale price.
