Ipod cable + RDS traffic cable on 720?

I just got a Go720.

I am planning on getting a proclip mount and hardwiring audio into my Alpine HU and power straight from the car.

However after looking at the bottom of the Tomtom... it seems there are 3 ports. The first one looks like a 3.5mm lineout, the second looks like the port for external accessories such as RDS traffic or iPod, and the third is the USB miniplug that allows for charging in the car or syncing and charging with the computer.

If I wanted both RDS traffic cable and iPod cable... it seems that I would have to choose between the two as to which one I want. Is that true?

Yes you can only choose one.
Here might be some useful information. The RDS-TMC service will require a monthly subscription for North America. It is not free like it is in Europe.
