Hello,

I would like to know whether downloading the Tomtom app on Iphone would as accurate as buying a GPS device? What are the differences?

Is it worth it? Or should I go for a device?

Any of the more recent iPhone devices have much improved GPS accuracy vs. some of the older models. Much depends upon what your intended use is for a GPS. Do you plan to use this exclusively for driving, and which iPhone model do you have?

Your subject refers to "map". Tomtom uses the same exact map on the iPhone and their PNDs. However, the iPhone map runs about 2 months behind on updates.

Mapshare updates go to the iPhone at the same pace as the PNDs, so for most circumstances the usability of the maps are identical.
