Finally after reading these forums extensively plus trial and error I was able to move the maps to the SDHC and free up almost 2 GB on my internal memory.
I have a TT GO 630 (app. 8.351 map 845.2645). My question is when I plug in my unit into my computer and it opens up TT Home, the screen asks you to select internal or external memory. Since my maps and the majority of info is now on the SDHC card I select External for updates etc. What I noticed is when I hit the update button, the screen changes and the updates, etc. are being downloaded to the Internal drive.
Is this what is supposed to happen even though I origionally selected External Memory?
Thanks in advance for an answer!:confused:

There is a bug in the latest Home application such that even if the user selects one location, Home may try to install on the either or both!

Always good to check with Explorer after an update to see what went where. It's a real problem when you are installing a map and it tries to dl to the wrong location.

 If new map updates etc. are actually loaded to my internal instead of my external SDHC where most of my info is now, does the TomTom still see it, recognise it, and use it in the internal location?
If I find it indeed has been set to the internal, do I move it to the external where I selected in the first place? Also is there any fix for this situation that I can do or do I send in an error report? Does the internal and external SDHC work together in this type of situation?

For your model, both internal and external are used together and TT will see the map regardless of its location.

If you wanted the map on the card and it wound up on internal, just use Explorer to move the entire map folder to the card, that's all.
