Internal Mic Boost

Has anyone figured out how to boost the internal mic on the TomTom GO's? I have a 510 that I would really like to get modded to include this if possible. I would hate to have that ugly external mic dangling about.
 
If someone figures it out, I would love to know also as my TT720 needs a boost as well
