how to hook up i pod-730

i have a shuffle and when i called tt they said they no longer had an adapter- i have tried using my own hook up that did NOT work-at least i could not be it to play- one i tried had the same 3.5 on both ends- so it may be that one-does anyone have the recommended adapter-so i know what it look like and were it hooks up to the 730?

You need the special cable as it contains six connections at the TomTom end, I am not too sure if all of them are used for the iPod connection as it shares the port on the x30 with the RDS-TMC device that can use the same connector.
Where are you located as these cables seem to be available in the UK via Halfords/ PC World etc although stock seems to be getting low, a few months ago I purchased a couple of these cable sets for ?3 in a local store in a bargain bucket near the till - Mike
