How to disable tips on tomtom XL classic?

Hi,

I just bought a tomtom xl classic.

I can't find a menu item to disable the annoying tips. I read on another site you sometimes need to manually alter menu files?

Any hints?

Some models do have an option to Hide tips in preferences.

Otherwise, they do tend to disappear over time .........
