I have a tomtom one I purchased last year, and have been frustrate in getting this device to:
1. Alter a given route as I go from what TT set up
2.Customize a route, so that everytime I select it, TT will remember it.

Not sure what version of TT you have... whether it's a Ver 1 or a 3rd edition. The best way would be to 'add itinerary' where you add way points along the route to force TT to take you on that route. You can do it from TT itself, but it's not real easy. Each way-point needs to be added as a destination first, then you change it to a 'way-point'. You can also do it with a third party program called "TYRE" (Trace Your Route Everywhere) that you download to your computer... make the itinerary, then download that to your TT device.
If you already have 'itinerary planning' as an option on your TT (and your TT is not a 3rd edition), see this link for instructions on making an itinerary:
To bad TomTom itself does not have this feature. It would be usefull to have it record your route from start to finish, then have TT save it for you. In case you wanted to record a route & your not in front of your PC. To bad I dont work for them, this feature would have already been included.
