How Long is Download

How long does it take to download the latest map when I am using TT Home to do my 30-day free map update? I have a XL 335S with a map of the US and Canada. TT Home says the new map is version 850.2784, and is 1641 mb.

Difficult to say as only you will know your internet download speed, I would expect around 20 minutes for my own connection but thats on a very high speed connection - Mike

Thanks Mike Alder. I have 15 mbs download speed from my ISP (Verizon FIOS), so it ought to go pretty fast. I was surpised, however, at how long it took to copy the TT's flash memory to my hard drive, using Windows Explorer copy and paste. About 40 minutes. TT Home's first backup procedure only took a few minutes. And the second backup only a few sec (I guess it must have been doing an incremental or differential backup the second time).

That model is only USB 1.1 compliant, not 2.0; consequently, copying to and from the unit is a rather lengthy process...
