How long do I get free map update?

I bought a tomtom720 on Feb. this year and wondering if I still have free map update service. Manual says 30 days for guarantee update. Is this true? Where can I get new map? Thanks.

You can buy new maps using Home. Log into TT using Home (make sure you have an account set up there). Now, Select add maps/voices and see what maps are offered. The latest is 8.15 for North America BUT you need firmware 8.3 to work with it.

Is "version" 8.300 the same as "firmware" 8.3?

I don't know how to check if there is enough room on my card to install a new map, so should I uninstall my old map first, before installing a new one?

And, what is LMG?

Yes, 8.3 and 8.30 both mean the same thing.

Home should check for space automatically prior to installation.

Hey bob,

If you are going to upgrade to 8.3, prob one of your best options - when it comes to TomTom Maps - is to get the new update now. Most of the new maps on TomTom's site are on a 30% off deal, and they don't tend to run that kind of sale very often.
