How do I do favorites?

I just bought a TomTom XL 340S. There is nothing in the manual about how to do favorites, it should be so easy, but it's not. The manual is really, shall we say...lacking!

I want to enter addresses via the keyboard and store them in favorites.

Somehow, I was able to enter an address, give the location a name I wanted, and stored it. Every time after that I enter the address, hit "done" and it goes to the map. I don't get a chance to name it or store it.

I accidently entered 4 favorites, 3 of which don't have names, I would like to delete the 3 un-named entries, but don't know how. Every time I click on them it thinks I want to go there???

So if anyone can tell me how "Favorites" works, I would really appreciate it.

I do not have a unit at hand but I think if you will go the the screen Manage Favorites you can delete those. Also there you should be able to add favorites by selecting recent destinations if you have entered the address and the tt planned the trip.
I am sure someone with greater background can provide some more detail.

I have a 920 and will tell you how to do what you want on my unit. It should be somewhat similar
To add a new favorite I first touch the map screen. the navigate to screen appears. I then go right arrow and the screen to add favorites appears. Touch this button and add to favorite screen appears where you can add some favorite address. Just follow the yellow brick road.

To delete a favorite you first touch the map screen again. The navagate to screen appears. Then touch change preferences. When the next screen appears press the right arrow. Now manage favorites button appears. Touch this button and then select the favorite you want to delete and then in the next screen press delete and then repeat until all your bad favorites are deleted.

I am sure the different screens are a little different then yours but basically should be somewhat similar. Good luck
