How do I access my TomTom on my computer?

I've just bought a new Start 20 and it's really not that different to my old GO 730. I've transferred all my POI's across and set it up and I'm happy with it so far apart from one thing. I can't access it as a drive on my computer in the way that I could with the 730.
So, I want to make an icon of my mobile home instead of having a car icon. On the 730 I could simply make one and copy it to the device. However with te Start 20 I can't see how to do that?

Also, it says the Start 20 takes an SD card, but I can find no slot anywhere that can take an SD card. I only want to use it to back up my device. Does anyone know how I fit it?

Thanks in advance.

You discovered the card slot and, as mentioned elsewhere: on the Start 20 it can only be used as overflow space for extra maps that will not fit in main storage. There is no facility to backup device - system or maps - to PC or to microSD.

I have yes thanks. So I can't backup my device at all? That feels a bit odd. I've got dozens of POI's now, I'd hate to lose them all.

Good news - TomTom holds your maps 'on account' on their server, so if anything ever went truly badly, you can retrieve them that way. As for a system, your device retains an emergency copy of the firmware onboard if ever needed, and will (like your older unit) pull fresh firmware from the TomTom server if it appears to be down level.

Just be sure you back up any of the personal content you are adding from time to time.
