I've got an XL 340 TM Live. Most current maps and app. I almost always get the yellow triangle in the traffic bar.

I've been searching these boards, and I've seen suggestions to revert to an older version of the app (I'm currently at 9.058, which I understand is the most recent). Is this a good idea? If so, which version, where do I get it, and how do I install it?

I'm taking a long trip beginning Sunday, and it sure would be nice to have the "lifetime" traffic service that I paid for. I've got an email into tech support, but I'm guessing I'll get a faster and better answer from you folks.

TIA,
Earble

Emails are a waste of time. Call support at 866-486-6866.

You do have the combo car charger/rds-tmc antenna ??

And have you tried to reset your unit ?

I've found that, too. I'll call tomorrow if I get time.

Yes. It works "sometimes."

And have you tried to reset your unit ?

Yes, soft reset (the hold-the-button-down thing). If it helps, I'll do a hard rest and reinstall apps. I've done an Explorer backup of the entire device.

Thanks,
Earble

Have you tried to manually tune to a station? Binghamton, NY only has two stations. Radio Station List: WMRV 105.7, WKGB 92.5

Press on the traffic bar (right side of the screen) when the car charger is powered up. Go to Traffic preferences. Check both boxes for Report if traffic on route changes and Tune Manually. Go to Tune manually. Put in the frequency of the station you receive best in your area.

Total Traffic Network

The 340TM LIVE has two traffic feeds:
- The lifetime FM antenna traffic
- The LIVE modem-based traffic, that requires monthly subscription

Which one are you trying to get working? The LIVE traffic is that one that errors and results in the yellow triangle.
