I just finished building this mount. Now to come up with a place to put the plastic pointer.

Nice looking job, I used Ram Mounts for my ride, this way I can move it around to different positions.

I looked at them. Heard various stories about them. I don't have a lot of area to move it around with, so the Ram Mount is over kill.

I did have a little run-in with a rut the other day. It threw me and the bike over. The bike got scratched up a little, I have a sore shoulder, but the mount held!!

Actually, RAM have a huge number of options and I've seen a few that would mount in the same place as yours. You've done a good job of it though, and it probably cost you less

I've heard about them "Ruts", they can be dangerous, glad you are ok, bike can be repaired but the body takes a little more time.
