Home2 not loading when xxl is connected to my computer

Home2 does not loading automatically when connected to my computer. If i run home first then connect my Tomtom classic xxl it runs OK.
Is it possible their is a corrupted file on the Tomtom that is causing the problem or are their any known problems with Avast anti virus or COMMODO fire wall. Joe

In Home's Tools-->Preferences-->General you should see this:

Think you want to ensure the 'Start TomTom Home....' IS checked.
