I have a strange problem. After a chat with TomTom support
they gave me a free map update because I told them when
I used HOME it said I had the latest updated map. 710.1584
This is what they told me to do

When you hook up your tomtom go to the start menu and click on my computer and then tomtom drive and delete USA and Canada maps. Then go to my documents click on tomtom and then click on home then delted the download folder and the from the device folder. Then go into tomtom home and click on update my device and an error message pop up and click then update and install .
I did that and all seem to be OK. I got the error and continued on.
The latest firmware along with some other voices and things downloaded fine.
I checked out my TomTom and it still had v710.1584. I connected to Home
and it said the 815 map was on my PC in
C:\Documents and Settings\KK\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\map\North_America_2GB
There is also activation map cab,North America 2GB toc, and 2 gif files.
I think that means they gave me the map. Is there a manual way I can installed them?
They told me to delete the map folder on my TomTom so now I only have
the Guam map. (I did make a complete backup prior)
I put in a service request and have a reference number. If TomTom
is open on Saturday I will call.
This is the error message I get
ERROR: DesktopLib/InstallToDevice/GetInstallable/InvalidArchive2: Invalid archive: C:\Documents and Settings\KK\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\map\North_America_2GB\North_America_2GB.zip
