question for the gurus ?
using imac osx
home tells me i have latest version 2.8.0.1019
when going to tomtom website it doesnt offer (or i dont see the version number im downloading.
the reason im asking is that i still dont get the mapshare updates and i thought if i uninstalled and re-installed home it might resolve the issue.
mike:confused:

You're as up-to-date as you can get with Home. MapShare has been slow for some map sets since the 860 release (although my 860 2GB N.A. map has over 1000 mods now). Also, check your threshold for whose info you're willing to accept for MapShare (Home: Tools > TomTom Mapshare > Map Share Preferences. I'm also assuming you've agreed (same drop down) to participate.

how do you know

not to be a stick in the mud but how do you know what the version of home thats offered for download at the tomtom website?

Because they can also be downloaded manually as opposed to via Home itself. What you are offered there should always match what you're being offered my the other means. If you had the previous version, I believe that one was 2.7.5.877, although I may have missed a version in between.

My only gripe, which may be what you're actually asking, is that they don't specify what version you're getting, and you don't know until you run the *.dmg and find out from Home.
