Hi All,
I've been trying my best not to pay $8+ for an adhesive disc since I have 2 cars
Here's what I ended up with:
- Hot Spots convex mirror for $2 from Walmart (includes sticky foam tape, ready to use)
- 3M double-sided foam tape from Staples for $2 (Buy only if the mirror tape doesn't work)
Tips:
- Make sure the dashboard surface is clean
- Make sure the foam tape is stuck to a relatively flat part of the dashboard
- When you stick the mirror, place some weight on it (not the TomTom), and let it dry overnight
I've included pics of the mirror and the dashboard of where it's mounted.
For gadgeteers, the other LCD is of my Winplus Wireless backup camera. ($75 at Costco. Sorry, I'm cheap )
(install instructions here: http://www.siennaclub.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=18049)
Feedback and questions welcome!
