Updated my Home app from 2.6 to 2.7 when it asked me to, silly me, almost forgot that you can't upgrade anything Tomtom new right away. As usual got burned by it, now its incredibly slow when for example i click on Update My Go it takes its sweet time for minutes and minutes. Also, again sending the location from Google Maps to my 730 it ends at the black screen on emulator without giving me options to add it as POI or favorite. Reinstalled it several times from the scratch, same thing. My question is, does anybody still have Home 2.6 install file? Been searching online and all download sites already updated to 2.7. Thanks in advance, I can't be the only one with the issue.

Answer
In some cases, a previous installation of HOME may cause errors when running TomTom HOME 2.x. To resolve this, you will need to remove the old content.

1. Exit TomTom HOME completely by right-clicking the HOME icon in the lower-right taskbar of Windows and choosing Exit. For Mac users: use the Finder to exit TomTom HOME ( + Q).

2. Delete the folder listed below, based on your operating system:

Windows Vista:

*C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\ -- > Delete the folder TomTom
*C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\ --> Delete the folder TomTom
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\ --> Delete the folder Download

*AppData is hidden by default. To show hidden files and folders go to Organize > Folder and Search Options and click the View tab. Select the option Show hidden files and folders and click OK.

Windows XP:

*C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ --> Delete the folder TomTom
*C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\ --> Delete the folder TomTom
C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\My Documents\ --> Delete the folder Download

*Application Data is hidden by default. To show hidden files and folders go to Tools > Folder Options and click the View tab. Select the option Show hidden files and folders and click OK.

Apple Macintosh:

/Users/[USERNAME]/Documents/ --> Delete the folder Download
/Library/Application Support/ --> Delete the folder TomTomHOME or TomTom

AppData and Application Data are hidden by default. To show hidden files and folders go to Organize > Folder and Search Options (Vista); Tools > Folder Options... (XP) and click on the View tab. Select the option Show hidden files and folders and click OK.

When you restart TomTom HOME, it will be reset to default settings.

Just remember that you are going to loose old tom tom home information that was copied to the computer. but at the end you will increase tom tom home speed drastically. only the latest information will be kept so do an exporer backup of this other information if you want to keep it.

Thank you, deleting these 3 folders did reset Home and its back to normal again including sending the location from Google Maps to 730. Just what doctormstein1 ordered ;)
