Hiking

I was given a tomtom 330 xl for a gift and all i want it for is hiking and dirtbiking, however I can't find any maps or anything that will help me once I leave the pavement. Can anyone help me or do I just have the wrong gps

You've got the wrong kind of gps. TomTom's are meant for driving, not off-roading. What you need is one of those traditional hand-held units used for hiking.
