When the unit does arrive, the very first thing to do is make an Explorer, not Home (TomTom's computer software), backup of your unit's contents to a folder on your computer.

Well, I am happy to say that my TomTom arrived today! Woohoo!
I never checked this, but thank goodness it came with a Mac version of the software.
