Hi all and welcome to my computer. I am a new member. Ride a Vrod and love my Rider.

I am in Europe...but that should not matter. I have some questions. I have several different maps. Eastern and Western Europe. When I go from Amsterdam to Prague, I have to switch maps.

Can I not copy all of the data to one folder so the tomtom can calculate the whole trip at once?

This would be the same as if you buy 2 or 3 regions of the US. you can't calculate from LA to NY without switching maps.

I think we typically get all of the US on a single card over here so don't have to splice regions very often.

It seems to me you should be able to load 2 regions onto a larger SD card and use that, but there may be some details about file format/header that need to be taken into account. I guess you could give it a try and see if it works:)

Hi Vrod,

welcome to the forum. I am also located in Europe. In Germany to be more precise. As far as I know from the very popular german Tomtom forum at http://www.meintomtom.de/forum you cannot connect several single maps to one large map. The only way to route your way between different countries is to buy the appropriate map, e.g. Western & Central Europe that contains as well the Netherlands and the Czech map.
Formerly, Tomtom sold European maps on CD/DVD that contained European maps of many countries, but only one country each, so you always had to switch the map at the country border. I'm really glad these times are gone.

Greetings from Hamburg
