I have a TT 920T in the mail and on its way. I didnt know at the time of purchase that in order to get traffic you need to use that other cable that sticks to your window. Since then, I have read that you can get traffic, weather data without using that cable and instead you can get it from your mobile phone.

Can you get traffic and weather data wirelessly, using no cables via your mobile phone? I might refuse delivery and go with the 760 if not.

I am still so confused as to which GPS is the better unit.

Every thing I read says the Garmin 760 is the better unit.

Thanks guys.

Yes, you could get traffic via mobile phone but that costs money unless you have an unlimited data plan.

I guess you mean 720 coz I don't recall TT having a 760.
I think he's talking about the Garmin 760 (not sure though).

Hey Blu, I wonder if this comparison chart helps:

And here is a more detail comparison: click here

BTW, I envy you for getting the TT 920T

I put about 12,000 miles on a Garmin Nuvi 650 and was thinking about upgrading to the 760. But after playing with it for a long time I didn't fall in love ;) I got a 920T and like it better than the Garmins, but that's a very subjective thing.

The 760 doesn't have any wireless data features. It uses a traffic receiver just like the 920T, but it's built into the cable/cradle so you don't put anything on your windshield. From what I've read, this has a negative effect on reception. But if the issue is that you just don't want something on your windshield, just put the 920T receiver somewhere else in your car and it will be comparable to what Garmin does.
