help with voices

downloaded new computer voice to my tt sdcard but cannot find the new voice,
check my new downloads in tt home, and says that is installed in my tt
but nowhere to be found. please help..... did i download it wrong?

So you can't find the voice when you change the voice in the prefs? Make sure you hit NO when it asks you to keep to the same language.
Also, you didn't say what unit you have... I'm not 100% sure, but the voices may have to reside in the same place as the "OS" of the GPS. IE if your unit is booting off the internal memory, the voices may have to be installed on the internal memory as well...
(Someone will correct me if I am wrong on this, I'm sure... BUt it is something to try.)

I dont know why you need to download voices the ones in my head tell where to go all the time.

I'm afraid I've got no idea. Does it appear on the unit when you use Windows Explorer? If so, try the ClearFlash utility... Maybe something is messed up?

I tried adding an additional computer voice to my XL-S and had a heck of a time trying to get it to work. After many failed attempts, I came to the conclusion that my unit would only accept one computer voice at a time. When I eliminated the other voice and manually installed the new voice via Windows explorer (forget about using Home; it has/adds its own problems) I was able to get the new voice to operate correctly. Anyone out there with an XL-S and more than one computer voice on it? The voice in my head keeps telling me that TTHome need an overhaul.

Your XL-S has the exact App, OS, GPS, Boot & maps as mine; but man, do I have a problem adding voices or even getting V2.2.1.58 to work properly. Seems like any large file has a problem installing through TTHome (any version). Maybe it's something else on my computer, but it does it on my laptop as well...............and of course, TT support is absolutely no help. My last email to them got the standard 'please call tech support'. Oh well, I like Susan's voice anyway. Oh by the way, what do you have for your SD card? I have the TopRam 4G SD card; works great otherwise, but not so great when interfacing with TTHome.

I am using an ATP Pro 150x 2gig card. Perhaps your card is faulty? I've no idea, but I'm not having any problems with the card or TTHome.
