Help with Speech Recognition

Please help, I just downloaded the new v720 map for my Go920 and now my speech recognition stopped working.
I'm still running software version 7.221.
When I try to enter an address by speech recognition I get a white screen that says "One moment please..." and thats it. The unit states aloud "Please state city", but the little icon that comes up when its ready to listen never comes on.
The unit doesn't freeze, but it never gets ready to accept instructions. Manual address entry works fine.
Speech recognition was working fine with map versions 710 and 715.

I have software 748 and with map 710 would loose VR, a pin reset fixed it.

With software 748 and map 920 I've not had that happen.... hmmm....

The pin reset didn't work, customer service says to upgrade software from 7.221 which I'm a little leary of due to other posts I've read, is there anything else I can try?

I also tried to run the flash tool, no luck with that either.

Now I finally upgraded to software 7.481, and the vr is partially back. I can enter an address with street and house number, but it doesn't work for cross streets, it refuses to recognize the second street. This is getting strange and is still aggravating.
