Help with Bluetooth connection to Blackberry

I just got my new TT 740 Live. I set it up and added my Blackberry Curve to it. The first day, it worked well. I was able to make and receive calls. The next day, when I turned on the TT, I got a cell phone with a red X icon on the TT. It won't connect to my Blackberry.

So I delete the Blackberry from the TomTom and start the discovery process. It finds the phone, I enter the passcode and all seems fine. However, after the discovery phase is over, I still have the red X for the cell phone on the TT. I deleted the phone and retried 2 more times, but I cannot get it to work.

The other odd thing is that when the phone is discovered, it no longer says that the phonebook is supported. It did say that the first time, and it imported the phonebook. But after trying to reconnect it after the first time, it never offers to import my phone numbers.

Does someone have some advice on what I need to do to get the TT to recognize my Blackberry?

Thanks,
Rob

Wiz,

Read this thread, https://www.tomtomforums.com/tomtom-go-720-720t-730-730t-740/17611-730-sprint-palm-centro.html, posted on page 2 of the 730 forum.

If you have recently upgraded to app 8.351 you may be having the phone problems we discussed in that thread.

I too have a Blackberry (albeit an "ancient" 8100). After initially upgrading"(?) to app 8.351, everything was working fine, the phonebook transfered both names and numbers etc, etc. Then suddenly all I got was "This function is not supported on this device" whenever I tried to use anything associated with bluetooth.

I re-installed app 8.302 and all has been well since. Please note however that I documented the fact that my phonebook didn't transfer in its entirety. SOME numbers transfered while no names transfered. At least the bluetooth now works and I can at least look up the needed numbers off the phonebook in my phone itself.

Hope this helps.
