Hi All,

I have an issue. I just bought the model above last week. I am trying to connect to the Plus services like Traffic and Weather. I have a phone that is inside the GPS "approved" list and when I go to extablish the connection with my phone is goes to 65% completed then says "Unable to Establish Connection". I have ATT Wireless formar Cingular. Do I have to purchase Traffic & Weather on the TomTom site FIRST then establish the connection?

Also I see they now have a traffic antenna. Do any of you know if the TomTom One New Edition (V4) is compatible?

Please reply so I can sleep at night.

Thanks....Mark email - (e-mail address removed)

I am no expert, but that won't stop me. I have a Treo 750 on AT&T Media Works package (i.e. wap.cingular is the proxy server). While the 750 is not on the approved list, I tried anyway - many times. There is a selection for Cingular (Media Works) that provides what appear to the correct settings if you were setting up a DUN (Dial Up Networking) connection. i.e. wap.cingular as proxy, (e-mail address removed) login, CINGULAR1 as password, and dial string as *99***1#. I chose this and it also failed repeatedly at 65%. I tried tweaking the settings and it still wouldn't work. I finally gave up and then it started working - unbelievable - no explanation. Unfortuneatly I cannot tell you why it started working and now that it is paired with my phone, I do not see a way to check the current connection settings.

When I saw the Cingular (Media Works) settings, I assumed that it was actually using the phone as a modem and that I would have to enable this on the phone. However, on the Treo 750, you only have the obvious choice of enabling the phone's "modem" via Infared or USB even though Palm's Web site says that the 750 supports modem over Bluetooth. In any case, I got it working without enabling the modem support on the phone so it beats me as to how it works, but it does. I am getting traffic, weather, and other Plus services. Hope this helps. I'd love to know why it is working now on my phone so that when it stops working, I can fix it!
