Help me get a new map for my one

I'm stuck with a v650 map. my biggest gripe is that where i live there is a lot of construction through what is called "Corridor X" which is formerly Highway 78 running from Birmingham to Memphis. The roads are all over the place and often have me flying in "space". I've read lots of posts on here about this and I'm now more confused than when I started.

1st my system. Mac OS 10.5.1 running Home 2.2.0.16. TomTom ONE 4N00.004 which I think makes it a "version 2"?? with an SD slot for my 1GB card that came with the device. My map is 650.1109 USA and Canada. My SW version is 7.162. Home tells me everything is up to date. It also tells me I can buy a 710 map for 49 Euros. The US website is a joke and under construction for the past several months. The UK website says it will sell me a 710 for 35 GBP.

Questions - Am I correct that I have a version 2 ONE?, Should I buy the 710 or should I try to find the 2GB NA map I've read about (If so where and how much?). If I should stick with the 710 USA and Canada - do I just order it from Home and let it convert Euros to USD?

Lastly, what I really need to know is will the new maps include mapshare and allow me to fix any problems with the construction in my area?

thanks for looking, jafo9.

Log in to Home go to add map and you should be able to buy the 710 map for Canada US.

You will not be offered or able to buy the larger NA map as TT has installed a piece of software that will not allow you to download a map not intended for your unit (ie the NA map)

Always make sure you have back up of your unit before any upgrades

Good luck.

understand map share limitations also. you cannot add or change the direction of a road on the map. rename it, change direction, or block it is about all you can do with it.
