Hi there, we just got a XXL 540M and so far we love it. I am looking forward to learning all I can about this devise and helping others when I can. Sounds like the first thing I need to do is backup my TT and then update?

Also, is there a FAQ, or an area that will tell me what are some of the first things I should do and how to do them, such as backing up my tomtom?

Hi, and welcome to TomTomForums.

See this thread for how to back up your TomTom. It's recommended that you NOT use the 'HOME' program to back up, but Windows Explorer (or Mac equiv).
