I just puchased a TomTom XL 330, as I am going to Europe and my old Magellan gave up the ghost. I have also used a Garmin GPS in Portugal but wasn't very happy with the response time when travelling on their new highways, it hadn't been updated in a while. SO, I bought a TomTom, but have now encountered a problem I didn't think I would come across and that is that I cannot purchase a map of Europe because I reside in Canada, and the Canadian site of TomTom has been down and out-of-service for quite some time....go figure. I tried to buy it off the U.S. AND UK site, but TomTom won't allow me to do that....Any solutions out there, other then taking the unit back and getting another brand name....Thanks for any help...

Picking US as a country usually works. If not, select UK. The price will be in pounds but get converted if you can purchase it.
