Good morning - ordered XL-S Monday morning, should be here by Friday (fingers crossed).

I'm curious about the audio feature - does the unit have it's own speaker or does it broadcast to the vehicle's fm receiver for playback through the car speakers.

All this is totally new to me as I've never even seen a tomtom in action. Hope I'm not disappointed.

Hello and welcome! The unit has its own speaker.
The units that have FM options are the x10 and x20 units. These units also have line out options.
Don't get fooled, the speaker is good quality.
