Has this happened to anyone else?

TomTom Model(s)
GO 2535 TMWTE & GO720
I docked my 720 today and the auto update screen refreshed showing two available downloads:

1) Some kind of Software or firmware update (approx 24 megs)
2) A QuickGPSFix update

Because I was about to leave the house, I declined the update(s) and undocked.

When I got back home and plugged it back in, the only update available was the QuickGPSFix, but nothing else.

I didn't look closely at the mysterious 24 meg download before unplugging, so I can't describe it any better. Whatever it was, its no longer being displayed.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks!

Here's the stats on my unit:

Version = 2.1.2.121
Device Code = XXXXXXXXXX
HOME info: DLL Version: 2.1.121
Connected device: "TomTom GO 720"
App 7.220 (8571/040301) OS:1000
GPS v 1.21, boot 1.0012
NA Map v 710.1584

The latest update is 7.221 so what you saw was the update for that.
There are a small amount of members saying that HOME tells them they have the latest updates when they have the App 7.220.

Okay, thats making sense. Any ideas where I go from here? Or do I just wait until the next update comes along and I will jump to that one!

Perhaps this "bug" is what's being fixed in the current release! Wouldn't that be ironic!

Thanks for the info.

NB: Just found this on the TomTom support site:

"List of new features and improvements

Version 7.221
(TomTom GO 720/920 only)
  • Support for premium TMC service ‘InfoBlue’ in Italy (requires a TomTom RDS-TMC Traffic receiver)
  • Other minor improvements "

I manually downloaded and installed 7.221.

So all is well now, but I still think that there's a problem with disappearing updates!

And yes, Home continues to reports the older 7.220.

So two apparent "bugs" for them to fix!

Also, I think it has stopped my ASR tweak from working now! :-(

Thanks for the help.

How's THIS for a weird one?

Using HOME, my firmware shows 7.220.

When out of the dock, and reviewing firmware level on the TT itself, firmware level shows 7.221.

What's up with that?

Rob

It's a known bug in TomTom Home's software. Will always show the outdated version. The unit's firmware on the TT is accurate.
