Hardwire the One

I want to hardwire my One. The only hardwire cable i found was this...

Has anyone tried this? Do you think they are asking too much? For less money, I could cut up a cigarette lighter extension for cheaper. I just want a cleaner look.

Any suggestions?

I'm cheap, so I bought a hard wired cigarette adapter (Walmart $4.00) and spliced it into the power. Plugged the TomTom's cord into that and tucked it all behind the dash.

Basically I did this because I have 3 or 4 things to plug into cigarette adapter and only 1 plug in dash. Didn't want an octopus of cables everywhere using one of those 3 or 4 way splitters......

The one on eBay looks nice. But it's $32.00 with shipping. That's money you could save toward one of the new 520's or 720's

I couldn't find anything local.

I agree about saving money for the 520 or the 720. What is the release date? I thought it was, Aug 1. Is that right?

It looks like they could have simply gutted a cigarette lighter adapter and put it into a piece of shrink tube. And tripled the eBay price.
