I was able to pair with a LG 9900 but the TomTom does not transmit the outgoing voice but does pickup the incoming voice. It's acts like the mic is turned off. Any other way to test this or fix it?

As much as I understand, it is a hardware issue. I think you should send your Tomtom back for an exchange, as I did. Still waiting for my new one, and I hope this one won't have the mic problem.

You should be able to call 'em, do some minor troubleshooting, then they'll RMA the device and repair or replace it for you.
