hacking the 140s html

Has anyone been able to hack the html on the 140S?
I would like to modify some of the first aid and repair html's.
I've tried putting my own html files into the "helpme" folder but
they don't show up on the tomtom. When I open the html's from
the tomtom in firefox they are all garbled.

There's no need to if you can spare the original ones or simply add your own to the existing text! Have you tried using the original file names from those help files - normally that works although there are some limitations in formatting them and so (you'll find out).
