Hi, newbie here so be gentle
Mytomtom go 530 isnt picking up a gps signal, it was working ok then nothing, i noticed on the satillite status page on the tomtom the black and yellow gps signal indicator isnt spinning, does this mean the sirf chipset is faulty.....i have tried leaving the unit in the garden for hours but still nothing, if it is faulty can it be repaired, i live in hertfordshire.......thanks

Connect your unit to the computer. Use Explorer and look for a ephem folder on your unit. Delete the contents. Now, start Home. Update my unit. See if a new gpsquickfix is dl and installed. If so, try for the signal again.

Remember to disconnect your unit PROPERLY from the computer first!

done as you said but it says no items available.....thing that concerns me it the yellow and black circle(gps indicator is not spinnjing, tomtom service says this shouid be spinning at all times, can anybody comfirm this .

I can't believe DHN didn't ask you to try a pin reset - you should.

My gps circle is spinning indoors, it will spin if it picks up at least one satellite.

sent it back monday, tomtom sent out a nextday delivery bag for it, got it back today (wednesday) with a note saying they couldnt find anything wrong, funny thing is it is working now, no charge either although i couldnt provide my reciept.
Not sure whether to do the tomtom home update as this seemed to cock it up last time.
