GO630 vs GO730

I have purchased the GO630, but I am thinking of exchanging it for the GO730 because of the MP3 player that is in it....Is it worth the price difference, and do the MP3 songs have to be on the internal drive of the player or can they be played from an SD card ?

The mp3s can be on either internal or a sdhc card (up to 32 gigs in size!). The 7x and 9x series handles external storage in conjunction with internal.

The mp3 player is a nice feature, but I can not say I would necessarily pay more if this was the only difference. I have not found a station without a minimum of mild interference and I have had many problems recently, since app 8.35, with problems during playback. My brother-in-law has an ipod with an FM transmitter and it works much better than my 720 does. If you have another option for playing mp3's in the car, I would use it instead.

It's all about preference. I have an 80GB iPod so I didn't need the MP3, which is why I chose the 630. I also listen to music every time I'm in the car. I only use the GPS when needed. If you don't have an MP3 and will use the GPS every time you're in the car it's probably worth the money.
