I upgraded my Go 6200 a few months back after working for me without issues for 7 years. I was reluctant to upgrade as the new devices don't have built in sims which seems like a step backwards to me but I went ahead and now having mega regrets. Issues I'm experiencing are as follows:

1) Device doesn't soft reset as expected. Sometimes I can be holding the power button down for 2-3 minutes before I hear the drum sound but the length of time really varies
2) Device loses connection to Traffic all the time, despite my iPhone showing it is connected to the device and the device showing a connection to my iphone This can usually be fixed by doing a soft reset but not always. But basically everytime I leave the car with my phone and then get back in the car, the connection is lost. Sometimes the connection will go whilst midway through a journey.
3) When driving in average speed zones, the devices goes into a loop repeatedly saying 'average speed zone'. This is intermittent and doesn't happen all the time

I sent my 4 week old device to TomTom for repair, who advised they had replicated the issues but couldn't repair it and so they send me a replacement device which has exactly the same issues as the one I sent them. Is everyone experiencing these issues or am I very unlucky. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated.

Not clear what is happening with #1, though it shouldn't be necessary very often. That it is - that's a different issue.

As for #2, are you using Bluetooth for the connection? If so, try changing to using your phone as a WiFi hotspot instead. I think you'll find that a more reliable connection, especially with an iOS device. With that, you won't be dealing with #1, either.

We don't have average speed zones here, so have not been able to observe the #3 problem.

I can‘t offer any solutions but I went from a 5200 to a Go Superior which I use with my iPhone. I have done a soft reset a couple of times and it has taken a little while, but not as long as 2-3 minutes. The connection to my phone seems stable. I often go through average speed zones and have not experienced repeated warnings. I’m not sure if this helps except to say your device(s) do seem to be acting strangely.
