Has anyone got issues with live services at all on their devices?
Just as one problem sorts Tom Tom have another one... seems a never-ending problem!

For the past 2 months my unit picks up all live services and about 10 minutes into a journey it states no internet. So for the rest of my journeys the traffic does not work. This happens every new day - not on every journey (IE: do one journey it works for 10 minutes then same day still not working - but on differing days it works again for 10 minutes then doesn't).

Yes:
I have tried resetting / rebooting / updating / soft-restart / hard restart... nothing works!

And yes: my subscription includes lifetime map updates and live services without the need for smartphone linking.
If Tom Tom were getting rid of this facility they should had informed and blatantly not sold me the unit if promising the kitchen sink then removing it.

This is getting way beyond tiresome for Tom Tom incompetence that these issues keep happening on a £300+ unit!

Thoughts anyone... as this really is a complete nuisance that there is no proper support (and for the past 4 years have blamed the Covid pandemic and lockdown... really?).

Tom Tom staff should be back at work now.

You can try using your phone's Wi-Fi hotspot to see if you get better live service.

Why?
The system has never had an issue before so when something is designed to work without tethering a phone why should I have to?
That’s like saying your phone used to work via signal but try using Wi-Fi to get a better signal!

It’s always worked for the past three years or so with no issues. But for the past two months this issue keeps happening.

I suspect Tom Tom doing an iPhone thing and inserting software to ensure the system fails to try and make you buy a newer version.

It has its own SIM card to ensure connection to live services without the need to use other connections.

You shouldn't have to. But that's rather beside the point.
If cellular comms have become unreliable, while you sort through those, there are viable alternatives to achieve the same result. Or you can limp along while you sort through those. Your call.

That’s the point. This should not happen!
I should not need to tether to smartphone for the system to work.
Kinda defeats the purpose of the unit.

You must contact TomTom directly to reactivate your rights or to check why you do not have live traffic.

I have a go 5200 which has the integrated Sim which came with lifetime maps and traffic updates. For the last few weeks, I have been receiving messages from tomtom saying they are no longer going to support integrated Sims. They say that you need to use Bluetooth to get live traffic updates. But to get this to work you need to share the hotspot on your phone. Yes, I had the same issue when I first used it in the morning. I’ll get low traffic for about two minutes and then it would then go off and I could not get it for the rest of the day. I have gone onto the tomtom website and I cannot find anything there with regards to support with the integrated SIM. My partner has a tomtom go premium x and for the time being bas no issues.

I’m still waiting on Tom Tom to respond. They have only to tell me that yes I should have live services as part of my account and told me to do the usual checks and balances from factory reset to logging in and out again.
But on Friday did my journey and it worked for 40 minutes then shut off again and not able to pick up.

So tried for the first time ever to tether to my smartphone. And with full signal on my phone the unit would not link via Bluetooth. Tried several times and it just would not link up. Gave me the link code for pairing etc. but just wouldn’t hold the link. Kept saying “connected” then “no internet” and kept flashing this continuously.

So even if this were the case I won’t be able to link my phone via Bluetooth.

But still waiting on Tom Tom.

Not heard they are not supporting internal sims anymore.
If that is the thing they are doing then they missold their products and I for one will be seeking compensation.
